Kaymakli Underground City is an ancient subterranean city located in the Cappadocia region of Turkey. It is one of the largest and most well-preserved underground cities in Cappadocia and is believed to have been inhabited from the Hittite period to the Ottoman Empire. The city is carved into the rock and consists of a complex network of tunnels, rooms, and underground churches, some of which are still used for religious ceremonies. Visitors can explore the city’s many passageways and chambers and learn about the unique history and architecture of the area. Kaymakli is considered a must-see attraction in Cappadocia and is often included in local tours and excursions.

During the photo break, we will have to drive a bit more to reach Ihlara Canyon for 3.8 km hike by the river and beautiful nature.

After this long walk, you will relax and enjoy lunch in the small houses like banks, built on the river.

The cathedral was built as a two-story, it is the largest cathedral of Cappadocia, it once hosted the Hittites, Rome, Byzantium and Ottomans.

The valley, which is integrated with its interesting history and the story of the pigeons that gave its name to the valley from past to present, is a frequent destination for those who want to feel the traces of the past against the magnificent view. A beautiful valley where you can take fantastic photos of pigeons houses and evil eye beads.
