Devrent Valley, also called as “Imagination Valley” is one of the fantastic regions of Cappadocia. The valley is also one most popular places to see in Cappadocia that travelers may experience and enjoy the beautiful lunar landscape of Cappadocia, the most surreal landscape of the region.

The Zelve Valley, now known as the Zelve Open Air Museum, is among the earliest-settled and last-abandoned monastic valleys in Cappadocia.

Paşabağ Monks Valley is among the most visited places where fairy chimneys can be seen in the best way in Cappadocia. Those who come to Cappadocia on vacation usually come to Paşabağ Valley, which is located between Avanos and Göreme, to see fairy chimneys.

The Goreme Open-Air Museum resembles a vast monastic complex composed of scores of refectory monasteries placed side-by-side, each with its own fantastic church. It is obviously the first sight to be visited by any traveler in Cappadocia, standing as it does in the very center of the region with easy access from all directions. It is only 15 minutes walk (1.5km, 1 mile) from Goreme village center. It contains the finest of the rock-cut churches, with beautiful frescoes (wall paintings) whose colors still retain all their original freshness. It also presents unique examples of rock hewn architecture and fresco technique. The Goreme Open Air Museum has been a member of UNESCO World Heritage Listsince 1984, and was one of the first two UNESCO sites in Turkey.

Uchisar Castle is located in the town of Uchisar, and stands proudly as the highest point in Cappadocia.

Uchisar Town is located just 5km away from the popular town of Goreme, and the easiest way to travel between the two is via bus.

Pigeon Valley, just outside Goreme in Cappadocia, is one of Turkey’s most beautiful landscapes. The unique rock formations known as fairy chimneys, or peri bacalar, which are made from wind and water erosion on soft volcanic rock, rise high from the valley floor like chimneys and are dotted in their tops with birdhouses. Some reach at tall as 130 ft Pigeons live in these dovecoats carved into the rocks and cliffs. Years ago the pigeons were used to carry messages from this remote region, and their droppings have long been used by local farmers for fertilizer. Today, however, there are fewer Pigeons in the valley.
